TWD: Blueberry Pie

I don't think I've ever had blueberry pie before. I'm kinda of an Apple Pie girl, and to be honest, I wasn't even really interested in trying this. Oddly enough, my "I don't really like sweets" husband seemed VERY interested in it. So, I made a big pie to take to work, and a little mini pie just for him. :-) This pie definitely got rave reviews, so I snuck a small piece for myself. It certainly won't replace apple pie at the top of my list, but it sure was some great pie!

Once again I faced the no-food-processor challenge. My itty bitty processor stand-in was even too small for half the crust recipe, so I had to do it in quarters. I was quite happy with how it all came together... I consider my first blueberry pie adventure a success! I even made homemade vanilla ice cream to serve with the pie to friends. :-)

That's funny, my "I don't really like sweets" boyfriend was really into the blueberry pie idea too. Back when we made carrot cake all the men in TWDers lives were into that too. Perhaps men are just more inclined to like carrot cake and blueberry pie. Wierd. At any rate your pie looks very neat. I love it.

You pie looks fabulous... and I hope despite not having a food processor, you pulled it off great!

Oh so cute. I had to use a mini food processor too - what a pain! It makes me want to go and get a large one just so I don't have to make crusts in batches any more.

great job on the pie! you are very resourceful, making four crust batches ;)

Hmmmm, we need to either take up a cause to get you a food processor, or find you a different pie crust method.

Super cute! Can't believe the mini-processor thing--you have GOT to get yourself a bigger one... or a pastry cutter:}

I ended up doing the crust by hand because my food processor is so small. Your pie looks delicious!

It looks great even if it wasn't your favorite starting out.

Yummy looking pie! I love the way you used the cut-outs for the big pie to top the little pie -- so cute!
